This workshop focuses on the critical role of the Dean of Education in developing a vision and strategy for the future of their college/school. Whether you are a new dean or transitioning into a new leadership role, entry planning is essential for setting the direction of the college/school and aligning priorities with institutional goals.

Managing Up and Getting What You Need from your Dean (Associate & Assistant Deans/Chairs/Directors)

45-minute presentation with 15 minutes for Q&A.

This session is designed for administrators within colleges/schools of education who seek to enhance their effectiveness in working with their dean or other senior leaders. Managing up is a crucial skill that involves understanding your dean’s needs, priorities, and communication styles and proactively building a positive working relationship.
